Biden’s Flight Path: Migrants Stream into U.S. Airports Under Parole Plan

news report says many migrants are allowed to fly into Miami and other U.S. airports. This is part of a plan by President Biden’s Department of Homeland Security. They’ve created a system called Advance Travel Authorization. Since it started in October 2022, over 386,000 migrants have used it to book flights to the U.S. This special permission, called humanitarian parole, lets them come here without crossing the southern border. It also allows them to get work permits, which they can renew later.

Records obtained by Todd Bensman at the Center for Immigration Studies show that hundreds of thousands of migrants obtain the proper documents for entrance through President Joe Biden’s “CBP One” smartphone app, enabling them to fly to the United States each year.

According to papers that Bensman was able to receive through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, in 2023 the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) granted admittance to 320,000 migrants who had secured the required documentation for travel.

Bensman reported:

“This data does not show if those hundreds of thousands of birds continue to fly over those regions after their initial landing and release. It goes without saying that a significant portion of the arriving Haitians, Venezuelans, and Cubans will decide to remain in Florida, where there are already sizable expat populations. A portion of the recently “legalized” would-be border crossers, however, who arrive there as well as in Texas, New York, and California, most likely take domestic flights to reach their ultimate destinations across the country.”

According to recent Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data, more foreign persons have entered the country through President Joe Biden’s parole pipeline at the southern border than call San Francisco, California, home.

CBP published data on illegal immigration from the previous month. According to the data, between January 2023 and January 2024, around 825,000 foreign people were released through Biden’s parole pipeline and into the interior of the United States.

During a recent hearing on the subject, Assistant U.S. Attorney Dedra Seibel Curteman told a Washington federal judge, “There is a possibility that folks that have nefarious reasons — intentions to smuggle drugs, for instance, might try to go to those airports in which a lot of these foreign nationals are arriving under these processes.”

The total number of foreign-born or immigrant people (legal and illegal) reached a new record high of 51.4 million in February 2024, according to the analysis of the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey (CPS). This is an increase of 6.4 million since President Biden took office. The percentage of foreign-born people in the US also sets a new record at 15.5%.

Although statistics like “got-aways” and border contacts are undoubtedly significant, they do not account for the true number of immigrants residing in the United States, which is what ultimately decides their impact on the nation. Nearly every element of American society has been affected by the massive increase in immigration over the last three years, including public finances, the job market, healthcare, education, and the distribution of political power, to name just a few.

Biden’s policies have combined legal and illegal immigration to drive up the number of foreign-born people to levels never seen before.

Researchers Steven Camarota and Karen Zeigler note that “the foreign-born population has grown by 6.4 million since President Biden took office in January 2021— larger than the individual populations of 33 states”

President Biden’s policies have made it easier for many people from other countries to come to the United States. They can now fly into cities like Miami instead of crossing the border. This has led to a big increase in the number of foreign-born people living in the U.S. Since Biden took office, over 6 million more foreign-born people have come to the country, which is more than the populations of many states. This increase affects many parts of American life, like money, jobs, healthcare, schools, and politics. It shows that immigration is a big issue that needs careful attention and solutions that consider both the needs of immigrants and the United States as a whole.
