Biden Faces Upset In Wisconsin, Independents Swing 28 Points Towards Donald Trump

On Tuesday morning, the results showed that the Democrat Mayor Katie Rosenberg of Wausau, Wisconsin, was just under 48% in the voting, while the challenger Doug Diny leading ahead with over 52%. This is a major upset as Mayor Katie Rosenberg defeated the Republican Mayor Robert Mielke by five points in the 2020 election.

Since then, Rosenberg has been seen as a rising Democrat star. She was active and seen on several occasions alongside Wisconsin Democrat Gov. Tony Evers. But this time around, this upset clearly shows that the Wisconsin people are not upset with the Democratic party and particularly, with President Joe Biden’s policies.

Rosenberg said, “There’s a lot of work ahead, and I know with all the department heads and with the City Council, everyone’s going to be great.” She added, “Everyone is going to get the work done for the people of Wausau. You know, sometimes it doesn’t go the way you want, and that’s just the way it is.”

Wisconsin GOP Chairman Brian Schimming called Diny’s victory “stunning.”

His stunning victory over incumbent Mayor Katie Rosenberg marks an unmistakable repudiation of failed Democrat policies and is a win for Central Wisconsin values,” he said.

It is clear that the winds have changed now. As of 2024 polls conducted in several key swing states, former President Donald Trump is ahead of President Joe Biden in the majority of them. President Biden is having a real hard time in keeping his election campaign alive. In almost every major issue, President Biden is trailing behind. Common Americans have shown their disapproval.

The same is the case in the Wisconsin state. Former President Donald Trump is currently doing better in the Badger State than ever before. According to the RealClearPolitics average of Wisconsin polls, Trump is ahead of Biden.

Besides this mayoral upset, there is another setback for Biden’s campaign in Wisconsin. Wisconsin voters have passed an amendment that bans private funding of any election, primary, or referendum. According to this amendment, “donations and grants may not be applied for, accepted, expended, or used in…connection with the conduct of any primary, election, or referendum.” Wisconsin voters have also shown approval for the second part of the amendment that states “that only election officials designated by law may perform tasks in the conduct of primaries, elections, and referendums.”

According to Breitbart News, “Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan notoriously poured hundreds of millions of ‘Zuckerbucks’ into” the CTCL “for the purpose of getting out the vote in Democrat-leaning areas in the 2020 election.”

It means that this time around, Zuckerbucks will not be able for President Biden to secure a victory in this key swing state. The Republicans have clearly celebrated this amendment, with Wisconsin Republican Party Chairman Brian Schimming saying, “Victory! Wisconsin has spoken and the message is clear: elections belong to voters, not out-of-state billionaires.

“Thanks to the efforts by the Republican Party of Wisconsin and grassroots organizing, Wisconsinites have turned the page on Zuckerbucks and secured our elections from dark money donors.”

And now here is the last today’s major bad news for President Biden’s election campaign. According to an NPR/Marist Poll, independent voters have swung 28 per cent of votes away from President Biden and in favour of Donald Trump. Since 2020, 28 per cent of independent voters have shifted their position. President Biden has lost the approval of 12 per cent of independent voters. While at the same time, former president Donald Trump has gained 16 per cent of the independent voters.

According to this NPR/Marist Poll:

2020: Biden 57 percent (+21) Trump 36 percent

2024: Trump 52 percent (+7) Biden 45 percent

According to the Journal Poll, Trump is leading Biden in six out of eight top 2024 issues:
