President Joe Biden’s political reputation is at its lowest point as president, with popular opinions of the country’s economy at its worst in years. According to the YouGov Poll, President Biden’s approval ratings have dipped below 50 per cent for the three most pressing issues facing the nation. When it comes to addressing inflation and rising prices, only 32 per cent of respondents approve of Biden’s handling, while a significant 61 per cent express disapproval.
Similarly, on the issue of immigration, just 30 per cent of individuals surveyed approve of the President’s approach, with a notable 59 per cent expressing dissatisfaction. In the realm of jobs and the economy, the picture is somewhat improved, but still concerning, with 41 per cent approving and 51 per cent disapproving of Biden’s performance.
The CBS News/YouGov survey of 2,093 adults in the U.S. was conducted between April 21-24, 2023.
The poll also asked respondents, “Regardless of who you prefer, who do you think would win the presidential election if Joe Biden were the Democratic candidate and Donald Trump were the Republican candidate?”
The poll showed that Biden’s approval rating, at 37%, was one percentage point lower than it had been one month before and nearly at the lowest point of his presidency. Republicans disapproved of his performance, compared to the nine Democrats who liked it, with the independents marginally leaning in the other direction.
Just 34% of Democrats expect Biden to win, and less than 25% of independents think that the President would defeat Donald Trump.
Trump has consistently criticized American institutions both during and after his presidency. He has maintained his debunked claims that widespread fraud caused his defeat in the 2020 election and that the four criminal prosecutions against him are politically motivated.
CNN News have a Poll of Polls which consistently tracks the approval rating of the President of the United States of America. The latest reading of CNN Poll of Polls indicates that only 37 per cent of Americans approve Biden of his policies, whereas, on the other hand, 59 per cent of Americans don’t want Biden again in the White House.
One of the major reasons for the lowest approval ratings of Biden is his policy on illegal migration and border crossings. Due to Biden’s policy, the illegal border crossings have devastating effects on the American society. The crime rate has risen sharply since the increase in illegal migrants entering the United States of America.
The lives of thousands of common Americans have become difficult. And the Biden administration has failed to tackle this issue. And due to this, Americans want a change in the White House, and mostly in the form of former President Donald Trump. This is because Trump’s view on illegal border crossings and migration is completely different. According to Trump, this issue affects the lives of all Americans, burdens American taxpayers, and undermines public safety.
Earlier this month, Trump said in his speech at the US-Mexico Border, “They’re being let into our country and it’s horrible. It’s horrible. Crooked Joe has the blood of countless innocent victims. It’s so many stories to tell, so many horrible stories.”
